Welcome to Nova School. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to the following terms.

These terms exist to keep expectations clear and protect both families and Nova School.


Who Nova School is for

Nova School is an online education platform designed for children in Grades 1–8 and used by parents or legal guardians.

Accounts must be created and managed by a parent or guardian.

By creating an account, the parent or legal guardian provides consent for their child to use Nova School and for the collection and use of the child’s information as described in our Privacy Policy.


Enrollment & access

When you enroll in Nova School:

  • You receive access to the program associated with your membership level

  • Access continues as long as your subscription remains active

  • Lessons and features may evolve as Nova School improves

We reserve the right to update content, lesson structure, or features to improve learning outcomes.


Free trial & billing

Nova School offers a 30-day free trial.

After the trial:

  • Your subscription will convert to a paid monthly plan unless canceled

  • You may cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid charges

All payments are processed securely through Stripe.


Cancellations

You may cancel your membership at any time from your account page.

  • Access continues through the end of your current billing period

  • No long-term contracts or cancellation penalties


Educational scope & accreditation

Nova School is designed for elementary and middle-school learning.

Formal school accreditation is not required for Grades 1–8 in Canada or the United States. Academic credits are only formally recorded beginning in Grade 9.

Nova School aligns lessons with established learning standards but does not issue high-school credits.

Parents are responsible for understanding and complying with any local homeschooling or education reporting requirements applicable to their jurisdiction.


Parent responsibility

Parents or guardians are responsible for:

  • Account access and login credentials

  • Ensuring lessons are appropriate for their child

  • Supervising use as needed based on the child’s age

Nova School provides structured guidance, but parents remain the final decision-makers in their child’s education.

Parents or legal guardians acknowledge that Nova School collects and uses limited student information solely to provide educational services, track progress, and improve the learning experience, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable child privacy laws.


Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the platform

  • Attempt to access restricted systems

  • Share login credentials outside your household

  • Interfere with site performance or security

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.


Intellectual property

All Nova School content — including lessons, structure, branding, and materials — belongs to Nova School.

Content may not be copied, redistributed, or reused without permission.


Limitation of liability

Nova School provides educational tools and guidance.

We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, test scores, or placement results. Learning progress depends on many factors, including consistency and engagement.


Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of Nova School means acceptance of any updated terms.
